Our bookmobile makes both public and private stops in order to better serve our community!
The Hancock County Public Library bookmobile has nearly a thousand books, DVDs, CDs and audiobooks available to check out. If you see it parked in any public place (a church, park, school, grocery, fire station, etc.), it means that our bookmobile is open and ready for business!
If you would like the bookmobile to visit your location, or if you have any questions or special requests, please call Christopher at (270) 927-6760.
Looking for a title we don’t have? We may be able to get it through interlibrary loan (ILL).
Typically we cannot obtain items through ILL that are newer than two years, and requested items may take up to three weeks to arrive. Please stop by or call the library if you are interested in placing an ILL request.
Our meeting room (located at the main library in Hawesville) is available to the public for non-commercial use.
A $100 refundable deposit is required. Please call us at 270.927.6760 if you are interested in booking the space.
Need help with homework? Filling out a job application? Learning computer skills? Discovering your family tree? Our Book a Librarian service offers a one-on-one session with the member of the library staff best able to help you.
Due to staffing limitations, please call at least a day in advance to confirm a time.
